CMBA 9th Annual Meeting

On June 3, 2016, Richard D. Manoloff of Squire Patton Boggs was inducted as the 2016-2017 CMBA President during our 9th Annual Meeting and Inaugural Luncheon in the Grand Ballroom at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. Incoming Bar Association and Bar Foundation officers -- including Incoming Foundation President Drew T. Parobek of Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease -- and board members were also sworn in during the luncheon, and special tribute was given to the new 50-year members and 65-year members of the Bar Association. Several of our colleagues in the greater legal community were recognized for their contributions to professionalism and public service.

For the first time, we hosted a Membership Expo as an interactive addition to our 9th Annual Meeting and Inaugural Luncheon. The Rocky River High School Jazz Band kicked off the morning with a live music performance as guests began to mix and mingle with CMBA program leaders as well as community organizations, learning about opportunities for development and engagement. To round out the warm Friday afternoon, Transportation Boulevard continued to capture the crowd with their music performance. With a cash bar available, the post-luncheon expo moved into high gear and you could feel the excitement spreading throughout the Convention Center. This event helped celebrate all this is great about our Bar Association, our community and our country.
